Josef Mižigar provides psychological counseling, therapy, supervision, and lectures. Counseling focuses on overcoming current psychological problems or conflicts through short-term care and education (individual, couple, family). Common themes include upbringing issues, personal and family problems, school bullying, interpersonal relationships, workplace conflicts, adolescent self-harm, and developing assertive skills. His therapeutic approach utilizes Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (KBT) for issues such as anxiety and fear, crisis situations, depression, burnout syndrome, relationship problems, and low self-confidence. He also helps with developing social, communication, and relaxation skills. Supervision is offered individually and in groups for professional growth, allowing clients to share successes, challenges, and uncertainties, fostering new perspectives and confidence. Lecturing activities include presentations and workshops for teachers, student groups, school psychologists, parents, foster parents, and the public, covering topics like anxiety disorders in children and adolescents, bullying, self-harm, and communication courses for pedagogical staff. He explicitly states he does not diagnose, provide forensic expert opinions, psychodiagnostic examinations, or therapy for severe psychological disorders. He does not prescribe medication, make decisions for clients, provide services covered by health insurance, or offer email/chat counseling. His therapeutic work utilizes KBT principles, and his supervision is primarily solution-focused. He enjoys culture, theatre, Spanish music, pop, opera, coffee with friends, sweets, and recreational skiing. He is improving his English and learning Spanish and French. Consultations are available in-person and online. A session costs 1500 CZK for 60 minutes, payable in cash or by bank transfer. Cancellations less than 24 hours in advance incur a 100% fee.
