Therapy: Long-term cooperation with a child to address complex issues, typically lasting 2-6 months or longer. Psychotherapy effectively helps children with challenging situations, providing support for changes, conflicts, or other difficulties. The Gestalt therapeutic approach offers flexibility, creating a unique, experience-focused therapy process ‘here and now’. The first meeting typically involves legal guardians to discuss collaboration details, expectations, and possibilities. Topics addressed include traumatic/developmental experiences, crisis coping, self-acceptance, parenting difficulties, adaptation issues, giftedness/hypersensitivity, fears, anxieties, loneliness, self-harm, aggressive behavior, psychosomatic issues, and potential development. Parental Counseling: Advisory meetings for parents, where the child may or may not be present, usually one-off or several sessions. This service is primarily for legal guardians and can be part of a child’s therapy process or standalone. During a 50-minute session, the goal is to understand the situation better and find useful paths forward, potentially including recommendations for literature or other specialists. Diagnostics: Verification of intellectual and school abilities using certified testing. Comprehensive assessment of intellectual abilities using the certified Woodcock-Johnson International Edition test. May include screening for school abilities (e.g., suspected learning disorders, only for 1st-4th grade primary school students) and school readiness for preschoolers. Diagnostic assessment includes an initial consultation and verbal communication of results; a written report is possible upon agreement. The report has a recommendatory character for schools; for specific educational accommodations, assessment at a Pedagogical-Psychological Counseling Centre or Special Pedagogical Centre is required.
